Late April we held the Mike Christiansen Memorial Longboard competition. There were tight heats with some impressive surfing on display. OBC founder Mike, would have been stoked with the turnout and the number of members who entered. It was a hugely enjoyed social beach day, and the festivities went late into the night.

The Junior Club Champs were held at Weld Road. It was a great family day with over fifty competitors ranging from 5yo to 14 yo.
Congratulations to all the kids who got in the water and completed.
There were some amazing performances which truly highlighted our groms progression and talent.

OBC surf team travelled to Whangamata in March to complete in the NZ Club Champs.
The OBC team was made up of 8 competitors, which battled it out as a tag teama nd individuals to finish 3rd overall in NZ and to be named the top club!
