The sunshine and surf turned it on for the OBC Junior Club Champs held on Saturday at the local spot. It was great to see all the families supporting their groms. There were over 50 OBC competitors ripping from the age of 5 to 14.

This year the club jumped into this wonderful age of technology and trialled Live Heats for entries, judging and tabulation with great success.

A massive thanks goes out to the contest directors the judges, and a special thanks goes out to our sponsors who kindly offered up some amazing merchandise for prizes. Vertigo, FCS, Sticky Johnson, O'Neill, Rip Curl, Creatures, Hot Dog Twinny and JT Textured Plastering.

The push-in division this year was judged on style and wipe-outs, and it was great to see the dads and the mums hooking their grommets into some gnarly waves.

The highly sort after OBC winners’ rocks where hotly contested and showcased how much our local groms rip.
